NAWLEE is pleased to announce the 2020 Motorola Woman Law Enforcement Executive of the Year (WoLEEY) award winner.
Chief Hawkins has been awarded the North Carolina Dogwood Award by Attorney General Joshua H. Stein for pursuing community solutions to North Carolina's most pressing safety issues. She is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the North Carolina's Association of Chiefs of Police, the North Carolina Police Executive Association (NCPEA), National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives (NAWLEE), the Hispanic American Police Command Officers Association (HAPCOA) and currently serves as the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) treasurer. In addition, in 2020, Chief Hawkins has served as a commissioner on the President's Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice.
